Lahore—Punjab Cycling Association has finalized all the arrangements for holding Lahore-Kasur ordinary Cycle Race here on August 8 to celebrate the Independence day. Traffic Police and Rescue have been already informed for the smooth conduct of the event being held under the auspices of Punjab Olympic Association with collaboration of District Sports Committee Kasur. The race will start from Punjab Stadium at 7.00 AM sharp. Ch. Kamran Amin, President, PCA will give the signal to start the race. “This race is open and any cyclist of any age can participate”, said Idris Haider Khawaja here on Friday. The race will be finished at GT Road Kasur and Akbar Murad District Sports officer will welcome the cyclists at the finish point, while the chief guest of the closing ceremony will be District Coordination Officer Kasur, Malik Jaghnzaib Awan, who will distribute cash prizes and trophies among the winners.—APP
