Kasur DPO orders inquiry

KASUR: The B-Division police thrashed a local journalist near Shafiwala Chowk on Saturday.
Mehr Saleem Bhutta with his family was going to attend a marriage party at Kot Murad Khan when his car stuck in traffic jam, caused by illegally parked rickshaws. Salim asked the on duty policemen to clear the road. After an exchange of hot words, the policemen beat him up and tore his clothes. DPO Khurram Ali has directed Additional SP Irfanullah Khan to hold an inquiry into the matter and take action against the responsible policemen.
Meanwhile, journalists, including Javed Malik, Saleemur Rehman, Tariq Jatt, Zakir Hussain, Mehr Sharif and Afzal Ansari, have condemned the incident and demanded action against the policemen.

KASUR: At least 5 people killed while 9 others injured in three different road accidents in Kasur.
In the first incident, the couple was burnt to death as car caught fire on G.T. road near Gojar Khan.

Double murder

KASUR: Relatives of two brothers, who were murdered by their former brother-in-law at Mahalm Khurd village, blocked Lahore-Kasur Road against the Ganda Singhwala police for not arresting the killers.
